Starting in May, the Business Fundamentals for Tree Care Businesses course will be available. This course is an accessible, foundational course built to help owners and managers run more efficient, professional operations. More in-depth courses will follow in the  next year on topics like financial management and job costing.

This virtual course covers the essentials every tree care business owner should know:

• Business Structures and Planning
• Business Ethics and Professional Standards
• Insurance, Risk Management, and Legal Exposure
• Recordkeeping and Technology Tools
• Regulations
• Core Business Functions

Upon successful completion of the course a certificate will be issued.

These topics are covered at a foundational level, with more advanced business courses coming soon. This course can also be added to the TCIA Tree Care Academy Training Hub upon request.
