TCIA’s Tree Care Academy Crane Operations Specialist course is designed to build the basic competencies of crane operation for all members of the crew including the crane operator, arborist-in-charge, climber or lift operator, signal person and ground person.
The course covers:
- Job site safety
- Proximity to electricity
- Safe lifting procedures
- Assessing and overcoming poor ground conditions
- Slings, fittings and connections
- Rigging and hoisting
The Crane Operations Specialist training program manual is available in English and Spanish.
