TCIA is proud to support the following programs:

  • TCIAF
Tree Care Industry Association Foundation (TCIAF) works to advance education and professional development in the green industry, improve safety and reduce accident rates in the tree care industry, and to disseminate information key to practitioners and consumers about proper tree care.
  • The Tree Fund
The Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund) provides research grants, scholarships and educational programs to advance knowledge in the field of arboriculture and urban forestry. With this knowledge, arborists and citizens will be better equipped to ensure that healthy, mature trees remain an integral part of the urban and suburban communities of our future.
  • Vibrant Cities & Urban Forests
Vibrant Cities & Urban Forests: A National Call to Action is a nationwide initiative dedicated to promoting and improving urban forests and green infrastructure in our nation’s cities and municipalities. TCIA’s president Mark Garvin was one member of the national task force who met in April 2011 to work towards the realization of this objective. Vibrant Cities has since been taken up by the Sustainable Urban Forests Coalition, a national alliance aiming to strengthen the urban forestry agenda.
  • Society of Municipal Arborists
The Society of Municipal Arborists (SMA) is an organization of municipal arborists, urban foresters, consultants, commercial firms and citizens who actively practice or support some facet of municipal forestry. The vision of SMA is to increase resources and support for community forestry worldwide.
