FY24 Accomplishments & Financial Strength

The Power of the “6 Domains”

Over the past year, TCIA identified six key areas essential for tree care companies’ success, based on TCIA’s Accreditation program. Dave highlighted key accomplishments in each domain:

  • Safety: Surpassed 3,000 Certified Treecare Safety Professionals (CTSPs), reinforcing a strong industry-wide culture of safety.
  • Workforce Development: Expanded partnerships and sponsorships to support the Registered Apprenticeship Program and the Women in Tree Care initiative.
  • Advocacy & Regulatory Compliance: Advocated for a separate industry standard at OSHA and launched the Professionalism in Tree Care program, which helps recipients of the Inflation Reduction Act funding hire knowledgeable and professional tree care companies.
  • Training: Worked with 215 member companies this past year to create custom Tree Care Academy Training Hubs—an exclusive member benefit. In the past year alone, TCIA served 8,622 learners in FY 23-24 with 2,809 learners enrolled through the Training Hub and issued 31,815 ISA CEUs and 24,885 CTSP CEUs through its learning management platform.
  • Sales & Marketing: Provided free educational webinars with an average of 50 plus attendees and practical resources to help businesses grow.

Looking Ahead

While TCIA accomplished a great deal in 2024, there is always more work to be done. In the coming year, TCIA will continue to:

  • Expand its advocacy capabilities,
  • Innovate the way content is created and delivered,
  • Collaborate with the newly formed Corporate Member Committee to support corporate members who manufacture and supply essential tools, platforms, and services for tree care businesses, and
  • Strengthen partnerships with nonprofits, educational institutions, and other trade associations.

By continuing to invest in these areas, TCIA remains committed to advancing the tree care industry and supporting its members’ long-term success.
