This article is by Tchukki Andersen, the TCIA staff arborist who loves going to TCI EXPO!
I am an 18-year TCI EXPO veteran, and I can’t WAIT to see how it rolls out this year in St. Louis! I also know a lot of people who will be attending again this year, so I asked a few of them what they are looking forward to experiencing.
Check out this short video to see what they have to say.
For many arborists, TCI EXPO is less about spectacle and more about substance. Workshops and chapter meetings all have their place, but TCI EXPO is the largest gathering of its kind. Tree work professionals can step out of their daily slog and plug into a space wired for learning and swapping tricks of the trade.
TCI EXPO gives climbers, crew leaders, and company owners a chance to talk face-to-face and learn from each other. Out on the job, they might be bidding against each other, but here competitors turn into allies sharing tips and tricks, and showing respect for the grind, everyone knows too well.
The trade show floor brings its own kind of energy. It is packed with new equipment, from small climbing tools to large machines, and TCI EXPOClimb turns the latest gear into something tangible. The education and training on the trade show at TCI EXPO cut through the noise—demonstrating new and old tricks and giving crews something they can put to work the next day. It’s all the home of the big equipment featured in the Demo Dome!
And then there’s the people side. Old friends cross paths, coworkers catch up, and you see how the old ways mix with new styles. For the folks who make this industry run, TCI EXPO has become the big meet-up of the year—a place to learn and test, and to feel part of something bigger than your own job site.
I hope you’ll listen in to what some your colleagues are saying about TCI EXPO! Click here to listen in.
